Volimes Village
Volimes is a mountainous area on the NW of Zakynthos Island, approx. 32 kms away from Zakynthos town.
It is a traditional Zakynthian village, ideal for those who would wish to discover the magnificent virgin countryside of Zakynthos.
It is one of the most important places on the island and well known for the production of traditional crafts, olive oil, handmade tablecloths, embroideries, and carpets.
Volimes is set in the municipality of Elation and it is divided into three smaller communities: Kato Volimes, Ano Volimes, and Volimes Via.
Due to the mountainous of the place, there are no adjacent beaches. The nearest one is Shipwreck beach on the west coast, 3.9 km away, then on the opposite side Agios Nikolaos, 10.2 km, and Makris Gialos, 9.4 km.
