Destination name
Agios Nikolaos is a small settlement on the island of Zakynthos, Greece. It is located approximately 32 kilometers northwest of Zakynthos City. It has a population of 42, according to a census conducted in 2001. Administratively, it belongs to the village of Volimes, located around 10 kilometers inland.
Agios Nikolaos is the second port of Zakynthos, connecting it with Pessada, Kefalonia island, during the summer. It is north of the island, near the mountain called the Volimes. The beach of St. Nicholas is known as a port of Agios Nikolaos.
It is a small beach with a harbor where you can get the boats to make frequent routes to Kefalonia. Also, boats can take you to the Blue Caves and Shipwreck. On this beach parking is available. The surrounding area is full of small beaches. Ideal for families and children. It is 30km from Zakynthos town, about 45 minutes by car.
